Huntsville-based “The Voice” star makes it to Live Finale
Reading time: 2 minutes

It’s about time we had some local representation on TV.
AAMU alum + Huntsville local Jazz McKenzie is headed to the Live Finale of The Voice, and we’ve got the info you need to know.
About Jazz
Born in Birmingham and raised in Huntsville, Jazz McKenzie has stunned audiences and celebrities alike with her powerhouse vocals on season 28 of “The Voice”.
Jazz first turned heads when she earned a coveted four-chair spin during her Voice audition—a feat only earned by a select few. She was able to choose any of the four judges to be her vocal coach through the season, and she chose Michael Bublé.
During the playoffs, each contestant delivers a performance to secure their place in the finale. McKenzie delivered a standout performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” which brought the house down.
After her performance, she was chosen from the contestants on Team Bublé (by Michael himself!) to represent the team and bring home the win:
“Jazz’s voice has range, soul, depth. I want her to be my three-peat. She is the perfect person to represent Team Bublé. It’s called ‘The Voice’ and she is the greatest voice that I’ve ever had on here.”
