Meet this Hville Blast producer + her new role

As Huntsville Blast continues to grow, so are the skills and leadership abilities of its team members. And that is evident by the recent promotion of Elizabeth Hobbs to Senior Content Producer, a role she began this week.
Hobbs started out as an intern with us, and came on board full time in August of 2024.
What to know about Elizabeth

When we launched this publication back in the winter of 2022, we had a staff of two people. We have grown that team exponentially as we continue to cover all that’s fun and exciting about the Rocket City. And if anyone encapsulates the energy and positive vibes of the Huntsville area, it’s Elizabeth Hobbs.
Her boundless energy and glowing smile light up any room, and her amazing level of creativity and originality has been the catalyst for her rapid advancement within our company.

- What she likes most about her job:
- “I love that I get to be a tourist in my own city. It’s rewarding to uplift the different voices in my community and collaborate with local partners from The Orion Amphitheater to Athens State University. Keeping up with the positive momentum in Huntsville and the surrounding areas has been such a joy!”
- What she likes most about Huntsville:
- “I love the blend of community, art/culture and innovation that keeps this city close but always evolving. I never know who I’ll run into when I’m in town, and everyone has a supportive spirit and a shared passion of making our city better. I also love our arts/music spaces, from free Concerts on the Dock to the upcoming vinyl bar, Perseus.”

- “To me, the whole city of Birmingham is sort of like Cheers. Everywhere you go, chances are you’ll see someone you know. I love seeing familiar faces at The Garage or saying hi to old friends at El Barrio. Despite having a population of over one million, Birmingham has a very welcoming and friendly energy—it’s really easy to get involved in volunteering, clubs and fun events. I also think Birmingham is one of the best food cities in the country right now, and it’s only growing and getting better from here.”
The team in Birmingham also added a new Account Executive in Traci Owen. Traci comes to us from Birmingham Home & Garden Magazine and has already hit the ground running with Bham Now and The Bama Buzz, building working relationships with the business community.
