Resolute Way will provide direct access to Redstone Arsenal Gate 9 via Madison Boulevard’s Exit 13 westbound ramp, effectively decongesting traffic on a thoroughfare that sees over 100,000 cars daily.

The project is also slated to add an additional mile of merge distance along 565 eastbound from Madison Boulevard to SR-255/Research Boulevard.

City officials have been aiming to open up this corridor since the announcement of Space Command’s move to Huntsville, and are excited about the progress being made:

“Resolute Way is one of our top roadway priorities and we are excited to see this project moving forward.

With the expanding missions at Redstone Arsenal, including U.S. Space Command and the FBI, it’s essential that the City rises to the occasion in support to help keep our nation safe. We are grateful for our partnership with the Alabama Department of Transportation and look forward to continuing to partner on many other projects in the region.”

Mayor Tommy Battle

The project is still in Phase I. Stay tuned for more updates to come.
