Huntsville gas now $4 per gallon—here’s where to find a deal

Gas prices across the country continue to increase, as the normal seasonal surge in fuel costs is compounded by gas prices that had already been affected by the war in Iran.
The state has experienced a 20-cent per gallon increase in just the last week, eclipsing $4 per gallon on average. Madison County has followed that trend.

Gas prices continue to rise in the Huntsville area

According to AAA, the average price per gallon in Alabama is $4.006. While certainly high, it seems like a bargain compared to the national average of $4.483 per gallon.
The national average this time last year was $3.19 per gallon, by comparison, and $3.60 per gallon at this time in 2024.
