Huntsville gas prices now average close to $4 per gallon

Anyone thinking that getting past the Labor Day holiday gas spike would spell some relief will be disappointed to learn that average gas prices continue to rise across the country, with the average in Madison County at $3.97 gallon for regular unleaded fuel.
The state average sits right at $4, the highest average gas price in the state since 2022.

How Huntsville gas prices compare to the rest of the state
At $3.87 per gallon, Huntsville actually averages less per gallon than most of Alabama’s metro areas. And Decatur’s average price per gallon is even lower at $3.96 per gallon.
