Huntsville Havoc solidifies roster as new season approaches

August is almost over, believe it or not, and that means hockey season is inching closer to the calendar. hence, the Huntsville Havoc have made some signings to solidify their lineup for the coming season.

The Havoc will open their season on the road against the Pensacola Ice Flyers Oct. 20, and will play their home opener against Birmingham Oct. 28. Check out what the Havoc have been up to this off-season:

Filling in the Havoc lineup for the 2022-23 season

The Huntsville Havoc have some new faces on the team this year, but also have been busy re-signing players from last year’s payoff team.

Huntsville head Coach Glenn Detulleo announced Sunday that forward Jacob Barber has signed for the 2022-23 season.

Barber, 30, will be entering his 5th professional season. Last season saw Barber make an instant impact in Huntsville with 63 points in 54 games, marking career highs in goals, assists, and points.

Barber is the seventh returning player to sign on for the 2022-23 season. Other returning players include:

  • Forward Sy Nutkevitch
  • Forward Rob Darrar
  • Forward Cole Reginato
  • Defensemen Dominick Procopio
  • Goalie Hunter Vorva
  • Captain Tyler Piacentini

The Havoc signed these newcomers to the team this off-season:

  • Defensemen Brandon McMartin
  • Forward Michael Marchesan
  • Goalie Nicholas Latinovich

The new season, as we said, is coming up soon, and there is still time to secure season tickets to the 2022-23 season. The schedule was released last month.

New season ticket holders need to fill out this form and a Havoc representative will reach out to discuss available seat options and to collect payment. Havoc staff will respond to submissions in the order they are received.

The Havoc also offer mini-plans, which include five games throughout the season.

Individual game tickets have not gone on sale yet, but we will keep you updated on when they become available!
