The museum is set to reopen August 31, according to an announcement by the HMA on social media.

An announcement by the HMA Board of Directors on the museum’s Facebook and Instagram accounts say the reopening event will be held August 31, celebrating with the Betsy and Peter Lowe Community Free Day, where visitors can browse the museum free of charge.
The temporary closure coincided with a fundraiser for the new upgraded HVAC system. The “Keep it Cool Challenge” aimed to raise $50,000 for the upgrade. Thus far, the campaign has raised nearly $48,000 toward its goal.
“This investment is a testament to our unwavering commitment to preserving the artistic treasures that make our museum a cultural cornerstone of Huntsville. We understand the temporary closure may be an inconvenience, but we are confident this upgrade will enhance the museum experience for years to come. We appreciate your patience and support during this important transition.”
Christopher J. Madkour, HMA Executive Director

- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday-Saturday: 10AM-5PM
