Huntsville breaks ground on new expansion of Veterans Memorial Museum

Just in time for Veterans Day, the City of Huntsville broke ground today on an expansion for the U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum at John Hunt Park.
The project adds more than 35,000 square feet to the museum offering more space for the display of memorabilia dating back to the American Revolution.

The $9.98 million project at 2060 Airport Road SW will include:
- The construction of a new pre-engineered metal building with insulated panels
- Modern storefront glazing
- Offices
- Conference room
- Additional restrooms
Limited renovations and repairs will also be made to the existing facility to support the overall expansion, which was designed by City of Huntsville architect of record Jeffrey S. Alpha.
