Huntsville to be destination of C-USA Basketball Championships through 2029

Just this morning, Conference USA announced the extension of its partnership with the City of Huntsville to host championship events here in the Rocket City through 2029. Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle welcomed this great news:
“We are proud to continue our partnership with Conference USA to bring outstanding student-athletes to Huntsville for high-level competition.”

What to expect

The return of these championship events highlights Huntsville’s growing presence in C-USA athletics, where both student-athletes and fans can enjoy high-energy competition in high-quality venues.
The new agreement will bring the following:
- 🏀The next three C-USA Basketball Championships (2027-2029)
- 🏐The next three C-USA Beach Volleyball Championships (2027-2029)
- 🏃C-USA Cross Country Championships (2026 + 2028)
You can catch men’s and women’s basketball and beach volleyball at the VBC Propst Arena, while the cross-country championships will take place in John Hunt Park.
