The Del Taco franchise
Del Taco is a fast-food chain famous for its Mexican-inspired dishes and American classic menu items. It is owned by the Matador Restaurant Group, which is based in Greenville, South Carolina.
The Matador Restaurant Group is a subsidiary of Red Door Brands, which also manages Little Caesars, McAlister’s Deli, and Arby’s locations. Matador operates 22 different Del Taco franchise locations across Georgia and Alabama.
The Del Taco chain has over 600 locations nationwide, with most experiencing declining sales, currently at a 1.8% decrease from last year.

Matador placed the restaurant chain into bankruptcy to hopefully allow for a reorganization of the different franchises. It is still unclear what will happen to Huntsville’s location.
