Here at Hville Blast we are excited to welcome our new market president, Dee Dee Mathis, to the team. Dee Dee comes to the Rocket City from Birmingham, where she built an amazing and impressive career in media.

Welcome Dee Dee Mathis to the Hville Blast team!

About four years ago, Hville Blast launched in the Rocket City (pun sort of intended) and we have grown exponentially since we started. That rapid growth has necessitated a true media leader to bring the publication to the next level in the Huntsville market. Enter Dee Dee Mathis.

Dee Dee is a dynamic media and marketing leader who most recently led local sales for WVTM 13 in Birmingham. Her career spans digital and traditional media, with a strong track record of helping brands grow through strategy, storytelling, and community connection.

As vice president of Sales at AL.com, she led statewide partnerships, including Huntsville, for more than a decade. She also led sponsorships for The World Games 2022, where her team raised $30 million.

Additionally, she brings an amazing track record of community service to Huntsville. Dee Dee has volunteered in top leadership positions with the Advertising Federation’s Bham Chapter and has been deeply involved in animal welfare causes.

In her new role, Dee Dee will oversee multiple facets of the operations for Hville Blast, including profit/loss responsibility for the Huntsville market. She is relocating to Huntsville with her husband, Ed, and her three rescue pups.
