New industrial building among high-dollar building permits in North Alabama

Of the 16 new building permits issued this past week statewide for construction projects exceeding $1 million, four of those permits are for projects in North Alabama.

Among those is a massive industrial facility in Florence, which will be completed in 2024.

One of the new building permits issued this past week is a new 150,000 square foot pre-engineered metal industrial building facility in Florence. This part of a joint project spearheaded by the Shoals Economic Development Authority.

Doster Construction is listed as the lead contractor for the project and CREATE Architects of Florence is the designer.

In addition to the industrial building facility in Florence, the project includes the 250,000-square foot Shoals Research Airpark speculative building.
