Italian restaurant in Huntsville closing + opening new location in Athens

A staple in the Huntsville restaurant community for two decades is closing. Terranova’s, located at 1420 Paramount Drive, will close in less than a month, while owners prepare to open a new location in Athens.

Here’s what we know:

Terranova’s closing Huntsville location

Originally, the owners of Terranova’s had planned to keep the Huntsville location open while operating the new Athens location, set to open in February.

However, a social media message posted this week announced that the Huntsville location will close Feb. 2:

New restaurant location in Athens

The Athens location was previously located on North Jefferson Street but closed in September. The new location will be in the Athens Plaza on Highway 31 between Hometown Grocery and Discovery Church.
