Job Summary

PRADCO is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our accounting and finance team as we continue to experience growth organically and with strategic acquisitions. You will assist the Hunting Controller with all aspects of accounting, monthly reporting, and annual budgeting.

Scope & Responsibilities

• Perform month end close procedures which include the following
  • Expense accruals across a variety of divisions
    • Accounts Payable
    • Freight
    • Commission and Royalty Accruals
    • Customer Allowances & Returns
  • Cross division allocations
  • Sales tax reporting
  • Post prepaid amortization expenses
  • Inventory Reconciliation
  • Cash Reconciliation
• Analyze business unit level financial statements and report out the following
  • Update monthly KPIs
  • Actual vs Budget analysis across several business units
  • Build and send out monthly reporting based on budget manager needs
• Calculate 3rd party commission and royalty liability to include reporting to outside parties
• Review and post tie out entries between EBSCO and Pradco general ledger variances
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain accurate standard cost across all hunting divisions
• Weekly cash reconciliations
• Facilitate CTSI (3rd party freight consolidation software) invoice approvals and weekly payfile audit
• Quarterly & annual feed license & tonnage calculation/reporting
• AP backup

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting at a consumer goods and/or a manufacturing company.
• Proficiency in Excel with a focus on Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems, preferably Infor Lawson/M3.

• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
• Strict attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
