Latest health score honor roll includes Little Rosie's, Taco Mama

This month, the Madison County Health Department has conducted inspections at more than 150 restaurants in the county. As a public service, Hville Blast reports monthly Madison County Health Department restaurant scores, featuring those eateries with health scores of 95 or better on their inspection (we excluded private eateries like school or business cafeterias and private clubs).

Here is who had health scores of 95 or above in March of 2023:

Taco Mama’s Jones Valley location, at 2750 Carl T Jones Drive, scored a perfect 100 on its most recent health inspection. Taco Mama must be doing something right, because the Twickenham location also made our health score honor roll in January.

Little Rosie’s – 99

Located at 4781 Whitesburg Drive, Little Rosie’s has been a staple in the Huntsville restaurant scene and this month also made our health score honor roll with a health score of 99.

Tamarind Island Grille – 98

The Camp at MidCity is always an exciting spot to visit in Huntsville, and also a great place to get some delicious food and tasty beverages. And if you’ve been, you have likely seen the Tamarind Island Grille over there. Check them out at 5909 University Drive. They have great food, and they’re another member of our health score honor roll this month!
