Limestone County Driver License Office moving to new location

If you are getting your driver license renewed or replaced in Athens next month, you’ll likely have to do so at a new location.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency announced this week that the Limestone County Driver License Office will relocate to a new facility in Athens.

Here’s what to know about the new facility, and the closing of the old location:
- The current driver license office inside the Limestone County Courthouse Annex will close permanently at 4PM on Friday, December 12.
- The new office, located at 503 South Jefferson Street, Suite A, Athens, AL 35611, will open to the public at 8AM on Wednesday, December 17.
- During the time between the closing of the old office and opening of the new office, drivers are asked to use the ALEA website for services.
