25 Huntsville-area baseball players selected for All-State teams

The Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) just released their 2026 All-State baseball teams, and 25 players from Huntsville or the surrounding area were selected.

In addition to the All-State teams, Huntsville also produced three major award winners, which include:

  • Class 7A Hitter of the Year, Kamrin Jenkins (Bob Jones)
  • Class 6A Player of the Year, Asher Doepel (Hartselle)
  • Class 2A Hitter of the Year, Cooper Abernathy (Lindsay Lane)

The schools with players represented on the All-State teams are:

  • Bob Jones High School (Class 7A)
  • Huntsville High School (Class 7A)
  • Grissom High School (Class 7A)
  • Hartselle High School (Class 6A)
  • Hazel Green High School (Class 6A)
  • Madison Academy (Class 5A)
  • East Limestone High School (Class 5A)
  • Madison County High School (Class 4A)
  • St. John Paul II Catholic High School (Class 4A)
  • West Limestone High School (Class 4A)
  • Clements High School (Class 3A)
  • Lindsay Lane Christian Academy (Class 2A)

Huntsville-area baseball players on ASWA All-State teams

Class 7A

There are six players representing Huntsville on the Class 7A All-State team:

  • Alex Cothren, Huntsville, Second Team
  • Braydon Weaver, Grissom, First Team
  • Dalton Dardin, Grissom, First Team
  • Joshua Wilhide, Bob Jones, First Team
  • Kamrin Jenkins, Bob Jones, First Team
  • Will Carter, Huntsville, First Team

Class 6A

There are eight players representing Huntsville on the Class 6A All-State team—including six from Hartselle alone!

  • Andrew Beaverson, Hazel Green, Second Team
  • Asher Doepel, Hartselle, First Team
  • Barrett McKelvey, Hartselle, Second Team
  • Braden Weathers, Hartselle, First Team
  • Bryce Zimmerman, Hazel Green, Second Team
  • Cole Miles, Hartselle, First Team
  • Connor Stiles, Hartselle, First Team
  • Cruise Baker, Hartselle, First Team

Class 5A

Two players represent Huntsville on the Class 5A All-State team:

  • Brodie Coker, East Limestone, Second Team
  • Grady Moore, Madison Academy, First Team

Class 4A

There are four players representing Huntsville on the Class 4A All-State team:

  • Colt Pressnell, West Limestone, Second Team
  • Eli Cantrell, Madison County, Second Team
  • Jace Duckett, Madison County, First Team
  • Mark Andrzejewski, St. John Paul II, First Team

Class 3A

Only one player represents Huntsville on the Class 3A All-State team:

  • Grayson Borden, Clements, Second Team

Class 2A

Four players represent Huntsville on the Class 2A All-State team, all from Lindsay Lane Christian Academy:

  • Cooper Abernathy, Lindsay Lane, First Team
  • Lane Jones, Lindsay Lane, Second Team
  • Maddox Ruble, Lindsay Lane, Second Team
  • Wyatt Wallace, Lindsay Lane, First Team
