Loftis Steel & Aluminum plans high-tech operation with 20 jobs in Decatur-Limestone County

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Loftis Steel & Aluminum is a family-owned steel fabrication company that produces custom metal components for a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications.
The company is expanding with the launch of a new high-tech operation in Decatur with a $6.5 million investment. As a result of this growth project, 20 new jobs will open in Limestone County, reinforcing Alabama’s strong position in advanced manufacturing.

The impact on North AL

The new facility will be equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies, including state-of-the-art fiber lasers, nitrogen generation systems and other precision cutting systems.
By bringing these cutting-edge capabilities to Decatur, Loftis will be able to serve regional clients and support supply chains in key industries. This new operation will generate high-quality jobs with an average wage nearing $28 per hour.

Loftis Steel & Aluminum will join a growing number of companies choosing North Alabama for advanced production operations. Mayor Tab Bowling and other area officials welcomed Loftis’ planned growth in Decatur, which sits in both Morgan and Limestone counties.
