Madison breaks ground on new 'MADiSON Letters' feature

The City of Madison broke ground Wednesday, September 2, on the “MADiSON Letters” installation in Town Madison. The 6-foot-tall letters made of fiberglass and steel are the keynote project for Madison’s America 250 Celebration.

The MADiSON Letters will be located in Town Madison near the intersection of Stadium Way and Trash Pandas Way.

What’s up with the ‘MADiSON Letters’ installation?

The project, part of the city’s celebration of our country’s 250th birthday, is being funded entirely by donors and community partners.

Here are some details:

The city made the announcement about the project in July
The letters include an offset “i,” so “visitors can be the ‘i’ in Madison.”
Work on the letters is being supported by the City of Madison America 250 Committee, Madison Visionary Partners and the Madison Chamber of Commerce.
The letters will be overseen by the city and Madison Arts Alliance.
