Madison County ranked among America’s ‘Best Counties to Live In’

Madison County was listed among Niche.com‘s Best Counties to Live in America list, released last week. The county ranked in the top 10 in the country, and was ranked first in Alabama.
The publication took several metrics into account, including schools, jobs, quality of life and more. Check out what they said:

Niche’s Best Counties to Live in America list was dominated at the top by counties in southeastern states, with three counties in Georgia ranking among the top 10.
The rankings take into account several key factors of a county, including the quality of local schools, housing trends, employment statistics and access to amenities. Statistics are primarily obtained from the U.S. Census and represent the most recent data available.

- Forsyth County, Georgia
- York County, Virginia
- Wake County, North Carolina
- Cobb County, Georgia
- Collin County, Texas
- Madison County, Alabama
- Hamilton County, Indiana
- Los Alamos County, New Mexico
- Fayette County, Georgia
Statewide rankings include a few North Alabama counties, including Madison and Limestone. The top 10 counties in Alabama, as ranked by Niche, are:
- Madison County
- Shelby County
- Lee County
- Limestone County
- Lauderdale County
- Tuscaloosa County
- Baldwin County
- Elmore County
- Houston County
- Coffee County
