Mastin Lake Road + Memorial Parkway projects now set to begin

The Alabama Department of Transportation announced that projects on Mastin Lake Road and North Memorial Parkway in Huntsville will begin in the next few days, affecting traffic in both of those areas.
However, ALDOT announced that temporary lane closures would be suspended through Labor Day weekend to ease traffic.

What we know about these 2 projects
Mastin Lake Road
Mastin Lake Road, under the new overpass on North Memorial Parkway/US-231/US-431 in Huntsville, will close for several weeks starting Friday, September 4. Following morning rush, both legs of Mastin Lake Road will be converted to allow right-in/right-out movements only.
ALDOT anticipates the intersection to fully reopen in mid-October after the new mainline opens to traffic in both directions and the contractor completes paving under the overpass.
The $34 million project to extend the mainline and frontage roads appears on track for completion late this year. The contractor, Rogers Group, currently anticipates the northbound mainline and overpass to open in mid-September, weather permitting.
The contractor also plans to open the southbound mainline and overpass in early October.
Bridge subcontractor Miller & Miller completed construction of the overpass last month. Construction of lighting foundations and lighting installation remain underway.
North Memorial Parkway
A $2 million project to resurface 3.5 miles of US-231/US-431/North Memorial Parkway in Huntsville will begin the evening of Tuesday, September 8, weather permitting.
The contractor will resurface the parkway mainline from Country Club Avenue Northwest to Cedarama Drive Northwest.
To minimize traffic impacts, most work will take place at night. ALDOT said motorists should expect single-lane closures between 6PM and 6AM, Sunday through Thursday nights.
ALDOT anticipates completion in late fall.
