McFarland Park Campgrounds in Florence now open with new upgrades

Since late 2025, the popular campgrounds at McFarland Park have been closed while major upgrades were made to the area. As of Saturday, September 5, the campgrounds and fishing pier are both open to the public.
City leaders of Florence are now taking reservations, so if you’re interested in renting out a space to camp, reserve a space here. Prices are usually around $35 per night, with wifi hotspots available for an extra $5 per night.

What upgrades were made to the McFarland Park Campgrounds?

Here are all the upgrades you can expect to see at the McFarland Park Campgrounds now:
- 💡 New 30/50-amp electrical hookups
- 🚿 Upgraded water and sewer connections
- 🚙 New and widened concrete pads
- 🛣️ Newly paved access roads
- 🧺 New picnic tables
- 🔥 New community firepit
These upgrades were funded by a grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), worth more than $437,000.
