Michelin Guide list includes 2 Huntsville restaurants
Reading time: 2 minutes

The prestigious Michelin Guide for restaurants has included two Huntsville eateries in its inaugural Michelin Guide to the American South. This is the first time the Michelin Guide has included a Huntsville restaurant.
Purveyor and Salt Smokehouse were both mentioned in the guide, as the Rocket City’s culinary scene continues to grow with its population.
Salt Smokehouse, Purveyor get mentions from Michelin Guide
Two Huntsville restaurants made the prestigious list, each with unique menus from one another.
Purveyor, owned by the Church Street Family of Restaurants and located downtown, has been open for nearly a decade and offers a variety of menu items from grilled salmon to eggplant hummus. it’s menu changes regularly, so pay them a visit to get the latest offerings.
Salt Smokehouse is located in Lincoln Mill and opened last year. This is a cool fusion of barbecue and Asian-inspired recipes. You will find some of the best sandwiches in the city here (I am partial to the K-Pop Burger) and the barbecue offerings are unique and delicious.
As the Rocket City continues to grow, the city’s entertainment, arts and shopping options have grown as well. So it is natural to see the city’s culinary scene follow suit.
Also, being included in such a distinguished group of southern restaurants is quite an honor.
Visit Salt Smokehouse at 1300 Meridian St N d 104, Huntsville, AL 35801 and Purveyor at 201 Jefferson St N, Huntsville, AL 35801.
“Our anonymous Inspectors were deeply impressed by the region’s culinary prowess, and this inaugural selection reflects their findings — from Southern staples like barbecue, Creole and seafood, to international flavors.”
Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide
