‘Graduation Celebration’ set for May 17

Rather than a “funeral services” or a “memorial,” this event is a “Graduation Celebration,” which the Foundation says reflects Dave’s own view of death as a transition, or a “graduation” into what comes next.
“This celebration is an opportunity for our community to come together in the spirit Dave embodied. Music, connection and lifting up others were at the heart of everything he did, and this event reflects that.”
Natalie Bishnoi, managing director, Microwave Dave Music Education Foundation
This free public event will honor Microwave Dave’s legacy as a musician, mentor and educator, whose impact stretched from local classrooms to international stages.
The program will feature live music, tributes and opportunities for community members to celebrate Dave’s life and lasting contributions to Huntsville’s music landscape.
“The Microwave Dave Graduation Celebration is open to the public at no cost. Community members are encouraged to attend and take part in honoring a beloved figure whose legacy continues to resonate throughout the region.”
