Huntsville municipal elections: What voters are deciding August 25, 2026

Huntsville voters take to the polls Tuesday, August 25, to elect City Council seats in Districts 2, 3 and 4; and Huntsville City Schools Board of Education seats in Districts 2 and 3.

Polls will be open from 7AM-7PM.

Here’s who is on the ballot:

City Council District 2

  • Thomas Casez
  • David Little

City Council District 3

  • Liliana Peinder
  • Jennie Robinson
  • John Stuart

City Council District 4

  • Nick Frevold
  • Bill Kling
  • Will Pylant

School Board District 2

  • Holly McCarty
  • Matt Woolsey

School Board District 3

  • Robert Person
  • Payten Redfearn

Election results will be updated online in real-time. The City Council will certify the election results at a special session on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at noon in City Hall Council Chamber.

Voters can confirm their voting status and poll location by visiting the Alabama Secretary of State website.
