$32M parking deck contract now approved for The Orion Amphitheater

We all know how popular Huntsville’s Orion Amphitheater has become since it opened back in 2022. Well, that popularity has prompted the need for more parking, which is about to become a reality.
The Huntsville City Council approved a $34 million construction contract at its August 13 meeting for a 924-space parking deck across Amphitheater Drive from the venue.

More parking at The Orion Amphitheater
The four-story parking deck will include three elevators and stair lobbies, decorative metal façade panels and surrounding landscaping.
The new garage is expected to increase parking capacity for concerts and events at The Orion, improve traffic flow and support continued development in the surrounding MidCity District area.
Construction is expected to be completed in April 2028.
