If you are considering a cat or dog as a gift for a loved one this year, or just want a new pet to start the coming year, now is a great time to act on that plan.

Now through Christmas Eve, Huntsville Animal Services will waive their adoption fees for most adult dogs. Here’s what to know:

The campaign aims to place pets into loving homes during one of the most heartwarming times of the year. Whether you’re ready to make a lifelong commitment or open your home temporarily, Animal Services is here to help.

Adoptions include:

  • Up-to-date vaccinations
  • A microchip for pet identification
  • Spay or neuter surgery
  • City license
  • Free bag of dry pet food while supplies last

Where and when you can adopt

Animal Services is open Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM.; Tuesday, 9AM to 6PM; and Saturday, 9AM to 3PM. Huntsville Animal Services will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
