Trailhead Huntsville—the mixed-use development at the intersection of U.S. 72 and Moores Mill Road, which currently includes Food City, Chick-fil-A, Jersey Mike’s and a 24/7 Health Club & Wellness Center—is expanding with a new 8,400-square-foot addition.
This phase of development, known as Pad 10, sits adjacent to Food City.

The current phase’s businesses opened in the first quarter of 2026, and still has more businesses opening soon, including VSL Nail Spa and Chase Bank, which are both under construction.
“Retailers recognize that Trailhead offers something rare: a lifestyle-driven environment with a built-in customer base, strong highway visibility, and the income demographics to support premium retail. We expect it to set the tone for retail development across North Huntsville for years to come.”
Shannon Tyndall, vice president at CBRE
Commercial real estate firm CBRE is handling the leasing for the development, and said Pad 10 will offer delivery in January 2027, with drive-through capability on the north side, patio space on the south side and flexible unit combinations ranging from 1,517 to 8,400 square feet.
