North Alabama’s secure place in the history of rock music has made it an attractive spot for Hard Rock International to build a music-themed hotel, and after more than a year of preparations, the developer is moving forward with the plan.

Hard Rock announced last week that a new Reverb by Hard Rock hotel will open in Florence in 2028, making it the first Reverb hotel in Alabama.

The new hotel will replace the former Days Inn on the corner of Dr. Hicks Boulevard and Court Street downtown.

Reverb by Hard Rock is described as “an upscale lifestyle hotel designed to be an energetic cultural hub for connection, creation, and inspiration among music fans, locals and travelers alike.”

The contemporary hotel will contain:

  • Approximately 155 rooms with views of the Tennessee River
  • More than 2,000 square feet of meeting space catering to business travelers and event planners
  • A theme that that focuses on local music, food and lifestyle

“Hard Rock is thrilled to work with the team at Sak Capital Partners and to watch them develop an incredible new REVERB by Hard Rock property in Florence that celebrates the area’s music legacy while also stimulating the local economy and creating over 200 jobs.”

Todd Hricko, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Hotel Development at Hard Rock International

Plans for more Reverb hotels are in the works in Tampa, Scottsdale, Kalamazoo and Pensacola.
