Sheffield-based Bank Independent is expanding its footprint in the Huntsville metro, as the bank opened a new branch this week in Madison.

The new branch in West Madison is the bank’s sixth branch in Madison County.

The new office is at 11254 County Line Road, Madison, AL 35756. Ground was broken for the office in June of 2022.

Bank Independent’s growth

The North Alabama-based community bank was formed in 1982 when The Bank of Florence and the First Colbert National Bank merged.

The bank now operates 33 branches in seven counties, with six offices in Madison County.
