While folks around here certainly know they can get a delicious “brew” at Straight to Ale, they likely think you are referring to the award-winning craft beer made there. Now, customers can get a tasty “brew” of a different sort.

Campus Grounds is the latest coffee shop to open in the Rocket City, and it is located right inside the Straight to Ale brewery.

Campus Grounds opened this week right inside the tasting room at Straight to Ale, and offers a wide array of coffee drinks and agua frescas with a touch of creativity in every drink.

The creative aspect of the coffee process is what prompted the brewery to open the coffee shop in the first place.

“We wanted to play with more alternatives to our craft beer process. We are still new, so we hope to experiment with new ideas, creative recipes and more unique processes. There are a lot of people who don’t do alcohol, and we want them to feel welcome here, too.”

Makayla Wilson, Campus Grounds @ Straight to Ale

In addition to beverages, Campus Grounds offers muffins, breakfast sandwiches, tots and berry parfaits.
