New Decatur Recreation Center set for September opening

The new Decatur Recreation Center is on schedule to open in September, according to city officials. Contractors are completing final construction items and Parks and Recreation staff are preparing to welcome residents inside the highly anticipated facility at Wilson Morgan Park.
An official opening date has not been announced, but work is progressing inside and outside the approximately 103,000-square-foot recreation center at 270 Beltline Road SW.
What’s new with the Decatur Recreation Center?
Once open, the facility will offer:
- Four indoor courts
- An elevated walking track
- 10-lane competition pool
- Fitness areas
- Multipurpose rooms
- Locker rooms
- Administrative offices
- A concession area

Free community membership includes access to the indoor walking track, gymnasiums, open recreation areas, lobby, Wi-Fi, locker rooms without a rented locker and open cardio areas.
Residents who want to use the pool, functional fitness amenities, or a rented locker will have several pricing options:
