New Fairfield Inn + Suites opens in Decatur
A new hotel is now in Decatur, as the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott opened this week. Construction on the hotel was completed almost a month ago, but a ribbon-cutting was held Tuesday.
Here’s what to know:
Fairfield Inn + Suites by Marriott
Constructed by Fite Building Company, this four-story, 80-room hotel offers comfort and convenience in heart of Decatur. A 230-lot parking deck is under construction next door at the moment.
The deck will include four retail spaces and electric vehicle charging stations.

Hospitality construction in Decatur
In addition to the new Fairfield Inn & Suites, construction is also progressing on the Renasant Gateway Decatur at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Lee Street. In the coming year, the historic McEntire home on the Tennessee River will be redeveloped into a boutique hotel.
