New hotel among 5 high-dollar building permits in Cullman

Of the seven new building permits issued this past week for construction projects exceeding $1 million in Alabama, five of them are for projects in Cullman.

Of these, one of the largest projects is for a new Towneplace Suites by Marriott hotel. Here’s what we know:

Towneplace Suites by Marriott coming to Cullman

Baron Hospitality, based in Birmingham, is building the new Towneplace by Marriott in Cullman. This new hotel will have 90 rooms, and is expected to be completed by May of 2026.

Lloyd’s Construction and Consulting is the lead contractor on this project, which will end up with a total cost of $14 million.
