Hotel in Huntsville, gas station in Madison among new high-dollar building permits

This past week, nine new building permits were issued in Alabama for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Two of those projects are in the Huntsville metro.

A new extended-stay hotel in Huntsville and a new gas station in Madison accounted for more than $14 million in permits this past week. Here’s more:

LivSmart Studios coming to Huntsville

LivSmart Studios by Hilton Tullahoma Exterior and Entrance — A 12.4 million hotel is being built on Cabela Drive in Huntsville. (Hilton)

A $12.4 million permit was issued July 16 for the new hotel, which will be located on Cabela Drive, close to Bridge Street Town Centre and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center

The LivSmart brand is for those seeking long-stay accommodations for 10 nights or more. Amenities include:

A full kitchen with a two-burner cooktop
Full-size refrigerator
Dishwasher
Microwave
High-quality cookware and kitchen tools
Spacious bathroom
Ample storage
Flexible furniture that allow guests to eat, work and relax comfortably.

GCC Construction is listed as the lead contractor.

New gas station in Madison issued permit

A $1.8 million permit was approved for a 2,000-square-foot gas station and 12,517-square-foot, one-story, multi-tenant, commercial
building and 86 parking spaces on 2.69 acres at 10311 County Line Road.

Premier Structures is listed as the lead contractor and owner of the property.
