Great news, Huntsville fishing enthusiasts—the Major League Bass Fishing tournament REDCREST is coming to Huntsville April 2025.
Read on to learn how this will enhance the Rocket City’s economy and get the details on a Major League Bass Fishing event happening this year.
REDCREST 2025 is coming to Huntsville
In the coming years, Alabama will host two Major League Bass Fishing tournaments—one on Lay Lake in 2024 and one on Lake Guntersville in 2025.
Huntsville will host REDCREST April 2-6, 2025, with the action taking place on Guntersville. Pro bass anglers will compete for the REDCREST trophy and a $300,000 cash prize.
Amazing economic impacts for the Rocket City
To compliment the on-water action, Huntsville will host the MLF Outdoor Sports Expo, featuring hundreds of exhibitors and activities. This Expo will take place in the Van Braun center and include a huge live-streamed watch party of the tournament.
We are excited to see how the REDCREST tournament + MLF Outdoor Sports Expo will bring revenue to the Rocket City.
“Sitting in the middle of one of the great bass fishing areas in the United States, we look forward to seeing REDCREST continue to grow when it comes to the Rocket City and the Expo takes over the Von Braun Center as we create a one-of-a-kind experience for everyone interested in the sport.”
Judy Ryals, President and CEO of the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, as reported in Major League Fishing
