What it means to be an America 250 City

The festivities kick off on June 28 with a children’s parade at Homeplace Park, where kids are encouraged to dress patriotically or even as historical figures. The America 250 Parade on July 2 will wind down County Line Road, celebrating unity, history and the American spirit. Community registration details are coming soon.
The Fourth of July weekend closes out with back-to-back fireworks spectaculars. On July 3, Dublin Park hosts the “Let Freedom Ring” fireworks show, complete with a patriotic video tribute, vendors and voter registration opportunities.
Then on Independence Day, fans can catch a Rocket City Trash Pandas baseball game at Toyota Field, capped off by a spectacular fireworks finale.
Beyond the summer events, the city has plans for a lasting tribute. With the help of community partners, Madison will soon unveil an impact project in the Town Madison District. Details are expected to be announced in the coming months.
