Everything you need to know about New Market’s new disc golf course designed by a Certified Master Course Designer
About 20 minutes northeast of Huntsville is a beautiful, quiet area spot called Sharon Johnston Park located in the town of New Market.
Whether you’ve never been to the Sharon Johnston or are a frequent visitor there, there’s a new reason to spend time there—a brand-new disc golf course.
Here’s what you need to know about this new attraction designed by a Certified Master Course Designer.
It’s expertly designed and ready for tournaments
Beside Hole #1, you’ll find rules and a map for the new disc golf course. It’s carefully laid out, designed by a Certified Master Course Designer.
Lavone Wolfe, founder of InZone Disc Golf, is originally from Huntsville and has been playing disc golf since 1974. He is one of only 10 One Certified Master Course Designers in the world, and he’s the master mind behind the course at Sharon Johnston Park.
With such a pro behind the course, it’s the perfect place for tournaments. The first one will be held on Saturday, March 11, with a ribbon cutting ceremony that morning.
The tournament is already full, but spectators are welcome. It’s a beautiful way to spend a Saturday, watch some disc golf and get a scrumptious lunch from Forty six 64, which will be on site.
But, if you’re just looking for some everyday fun, we’ve got you covered.
