New numbers show Huntsville airport traffic on the rise

The Huntsville International Airport reported an increase in passenger traffic in May, which keeps HSV on pace to surpass last year’s record-breaking traffic total.
So far, HSV passenger traffic is ahead of the total from this point last year by 3.7 percent.
Airport traffic for May up more than 5 percent

Thus far in 2025, the airport has reported 662,584 total passengers. In May, HSV reported serving 156,967 total passengers, which was a 5.5 percent increase from last year.
