NEW: Orion Amphitheater nominated for prestigious national award

Huntsville’s Orion Amphitheater has been nominated for Amphitheater of the Year at the 2024 IEBA Awards—the third-consecutive IEBA nomination for the venue.

The IEBA is not-for-profit trade organization for live entertainment industry professionals, and its annual conference is one of the most widely attended and anticipated events in the entertainment industry.

“It’s an incredible honor to be nominated, yet again, by a prestigious and respected organization such as IEBA. It brings me great pride to know that the amazing work that the team does here is recognized by not only the artists, managers and fans – but also the industry at large.”

The winner last year was The Greek Theater in Los Angeles.

Winners for the 2024 award will be announced at the IEBA conference in Nashville Oct. 6-8.

Other nominees for Amphitheater of the Year include:

  • The Gorge Amphitheater in Quincy (Washington)
  • The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles
  • The Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary (North Carolina)
  • The Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston
  • The St. Augustine Amphitheatre in St. Augustine

Since opening in the spring of 2022, The Orion has received widespread accolades as it was nominated for Amphitheater of the Year at the 2023 and 2022 IEBA Awards, nominated for New Concert Venue of the Year at the 2022 Pollstar Awards, won the 2022 Partnership in Tourism Award from the Alabama Tourism Department and Attraction of the Year from the Alabama Mountain Lakes Association.
