New South Precinct for Huntsville Police Department

While the new precinct is still in the early planning stages, the selected property is strategically located south of the Logan Drive and Commerce Parkway intersection, behind the Kroger shopping center and just south of Community Fellowship Baptist Church.
Police officials say access to Memorial Parkway has been a key factor in the location decision, providing convenient connectivity for both law enforcement operations and residents in the South Huntsville community.
Details such as the facility’s square footage, exact address and construction timeline are still being determined, city officials said.
Once funding for design work is secured, city officials estimate around 10-12 months for design and then another 12-14 for construction. Further updates will be provided as plans develop.
