New pro football team coming to Huntsville this summer

Huntsville’s new pro football team, the Huntsville Astros, has joined the International Football Alliance, and will participate in the league’s upcoming 2025 season.

About Huntsville’s new football team, the Huntsville Astros
The Huntsville Astros were accepted into the IFA this month, after the Rocket City’s first entrant into the new league — the Huntsville Beavers — was removed from the league.
Here are some details about the new team:
- The team will play a six-game slate, featuring four home games.
- The league begins play in June.
- Home games will be played at Milton Frank Stadium.
- Games will be played under NFL-based standard rules of play.
- The league includes teams from Dallas, Tampa Bay, Chihuahua (Mexico), Wheeling, WV and Little Rock.
- Ticket information and schedule updates will be released soon.
