New record: Huntsville airport reports 173K passengers in May

The Huntsville International Airport served 173,748 passengers in May, making last month the busiest month in the airport’s history. More than 87,000 passengers flew out of HSV in May, with 86,168 passengers plying into the airport.

May’s totals also put passenger traffic 10.7% higher for the year than it was at this point in 2025, when HSV broke its all time record for traffic.

Huntsville airport enjoys huge traffic month

The Huntsville airport has broken its yearly traffic records in each of the last two years, and is on its way to breaking the record again this year. The huge numbers in May certainly help.
