New solar facility in Huntsville to add 70 jobs
A new solar facility announced this past week by OMCO Solar will add approximately 70 jobs to the area. The company will lease a facility in the Huntsville West Industrial Park at 7620 Greenbrier Pkwy NW, Madison, AL 35756, according to a news release from the Alabama Commerce Department.

OMCO Solar’s new $10 million solar facility
OMCO Solar, an Arizona-based manufacturer of steel structures for solar panels, plans to establish manufacturing operations in Limestone County. The $10 million project is expected to create 70 jobs in the area.

The company manufactures solar trackers — devices that direct panels towards the sun — and fixed-tilt structures for solar arrays. OMCO now operates six U.S. plants, located in Arizona, Ohio, Indiana, and Alabama.
The other OMCO Solar facility in Alabama is in Talladega County.
