Reading time: 2 minutes

Some outdoor events could be cancelled or postponed this weekend (see below), as severe weather could make its way to the Huntsville area Saturday.
Here’s what to know:
Severe weather in the Rocket City

A strong storm system could bring heavy storms in multiple rounds from late Friday night through mid-morning Saturday, late Saturday morning/afternoon and Saturday evening/night. All modes of severe weather are possible, including tornadoes.
According to WAAY-31 Morning Meteorologist Grace Anello, we all need to stay “weather alert” Saturday.
“Overnight Friday and particularly into the wee-hours of Saturday morning, a severe weather threat of 3/5 is present for the Shoals, a 2/5 for Madison, Morgan, Cullman, Marshall, and Jackson Counties and a level 1/5 threat for far eastern Sand Mountain is in place.”
