As we know, Huntsville typically doesn’t get much fall weather, which is why we try to create those vibes on our own with performative fall activities like apple picking and pumpkin patch photoshoots. So, grab your sweaters and head to these local orchards for some pretend-fall fun!👇

Isom’s Orchard

If you’re on the hunt for fresh produce, tasty treats and delicious apple cider slushies this fall, Isom’s is the spot for you. This fourth generation produce farm gives all of those friendly, cozy small town vibes that make you feel right at home. Browse the newly renovated store, pick the best pumpkin for carving and get your hands on an apple cider slushy and donut before they’re gone.
Fun fact: Every Tuesday at 9AM this month, Isom’s will host ‘Once Upon a Farm,’ a free and fun story time and crafts event for families.

Scott’s Orchard

Apple picking is easily a fan favorite fall activity, and Scott’s Orchard is just the place to do it! This family-owned and operated orchard is made up of over 100 acres of planted apple trees. Don’t worry, if apples aren’t your thing, they also offer a variety of produce like watermelons, vegetables, peaches and more.

Hubert Family Farms

I know what you’re thinking…
While flower picking definitely feels more spring-y, Hubert Family Farms has actually turned their property into a spooky, haunted corn maze attraction every weekend this month. The Haunting at Hubert Farms will leave you so frightened that you’ll wish you’d only gone to pick some flowers. If you dare, take on the Haunting or be one of the scare actors.

S&J Produce Farms
Want to win $500?
Enter in S&J Produce’s great pumpkin weight guessing contest before the results are revealed on October 28. The winner will be decided based on whoever is closest without going over, and ties will be divided.

Tate Farms is considered a fall tradition for many and is a hit attraction every year. From hayrides to apple cannons, there is an endless amount of fall fun to be had here. You can also check out the produce market to purchase several varieties of pumpkins and decorative items like hay bales.
