NEW: Pizzelle’s Confections named best chocolate shop in the US

USA Today released their rankings of the top ten best chocolate shops across the US, and Huntsville-based Pizzelle’s Confections was ranked first.

Pizzelle’s Ranking
USA Today ranked the shops using a combination of a panel of experts in the chocolate-making field and user-submitted voting.
Throughout the month-long voting, Pizzelle’s was consistently in the top three battling it out with runner-ups Piety and Desire from New Orleans and Saratoga Chocolate Co. from New York. The full list of shops and where they rank are:
- Pizzelle’s Confections – Huntsville, Alabama
- Piety and Desire Chocolate – New Orleans, Louisiana
- Saratoga Chocolate Co. – Saratoga Springs, New York
- Chocolat Uzma – Chicago, Illinois
- LaRue Fine Chocolate – Greenville, South Carolina
- Videri Chocolate Factory – Raleigh, North Carolina
- Bon Bon Bon – Michigan
- Mon Aimee Chocolat – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- Eldora Chocolate – Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Ragged Coast Chocolates – Westbrook, Maine

Pizzelle’s Willy Wonka-themed shop used to be located at Lowe Mill but recently moved to a new location at Campus 805 which gives them more room to work.
You’ll find them making delicious chocolate creations Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 AM-6 PM, Thursday-Saturday from 11 AM-7 PM, and Sunday from 12-5 PM.
