It’s no secret that pumpkins and October go hand-in-hand. Huntsville has plenty of places to pick up a variety of fall’s favorite fruit (yes, it’s a fruit!). If you’re looking for some extra places outside of the Rocket City, read to the end for a separate list of North Alabama’s favorite pumpkin patches.

1. The Pumpkin Patch at MidCity

The Pumpkin Patch at MidCity returns for another year! Open every day through the end of October, this special event at The Camp is made possible by Reed’s Farmer’s Market from Meridianville. Grab your pumpkins, mums, gourds and more between 4-7PM.

2. Festifall at Huntsville Botanical Garden

Huntsville Botanical Garden’s Festifall has been celebrating fall fun since the beginning of September, and their selection of locally-grown pumpkins are finally on display! Come by for colorful fall displays, walk by some wacky scarecrows and snap a picture on a 1949 Ford Tractor adorned for the season.

3. Punkin’ Pickin’ Extravaganza at North Alabama Railroad Museum

Bring the whole family for North Alabama Railroad Museum’s Punkin’ Pickin’ Extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 14! Take the train to Normal, Alabama, where children will be able to pick out their own tiny pumpkin, sourced from Lyon Family Farms. Grab your tickets today.
