The regional BBQ chain LawLers set a new Guinness World Record for the most potatoes served in a single day, and they managed to raise more than $20,000 for the local nonprofit, Kids to Love, in the process.
Potatoes with Purpose took place at The Orion Amphitheater from 12-4PM on August 16, and for those four hours, LawLers was busy handing out completely free stuffed potatoes to anyone who showed up.
By the end of the day, over 5,000 potatoes were served to our community, which smashed the previous record of 3,600.
