In case you didn’t know, May 20 marks National Rescue Dog Day.
Here at Hville Blast, we love our furry friends and want to take this opportunity to share them all with you!
Every dog rescued is a dog that’s living its best life—if you don’t have one but are interested, you can visit Huntsville Animal Services or any other shelter around our city.

Meet our rescue dogs
Meet the Mathis dogs!
These fur babies belong to our Market President, Dee Dee Mathis.
From left to right the dogs are: Roo, a Jack Russell mix, Birdie, a Shih tzu-German Sheperd mix and Buster Brown, a cattle dog mix.
Meet the Aitken dogs!
These cuties belong to our Account Executive, Katie Aitken.
Roosevelt is the sheperd mix on the left, while Penny is the Shiba on the right.
Meet the Battles dogs!
This trio of dogs belongs to Sr. Content Producer, Lisa Battles.
From left to right the dogs are: Princess, a German Sheperd mix, Bruce, a hound mix and Disco Jack, a Great Pyrenees + German Shepherd mix.
Meet the Perkins dogs!
These pups belong to our Content Producer Intern, Nick Perkins.
Pippen (left) is an American Pitbull + Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, while Bella (right) is a lab mix.

These guys belong to Mallory Kimbrell, our Social Media Coordinator.
